MIST Overview

  • MISTis a Web3 MMORPG on the BNB Smart Chain.
  • The game offers a familiar feel to fans of World of Warcraft. It includes elements found in traditional MMORPGs, such as quests, various monsters, bosses, and dungeons.
  • There are different classes in the game, but in order to play as a certain class (e.g. witch hunter or bard), you must own a specific NFT for that class. However, if you are lucky, you can find NFT classes as drops while playing as the free class Adventurer.
  • $MIST tokens are used as the in-game currency, capped at 1 billion. While other MMORPGs typically use gold as the in-game currency, MIST uses $MIST token.

About Pre-Alpha Gameplay

  • In the Pre-Alpha phase you can't do much yet. You can create a character, defeat monsters, go on quests, and equip yourself with different gear, but other than that, there is not much content yet.
  • Some bugs are also present, but this was to be expected since Pre-Alpha is intended to test the game's functionality and to show the community some of what the final product will look like.
  • The graphics and background music were very World of Warcraft-like, and while I personally found it a bit boring, it felt like the team had the foundation to build a great MMORPG.

MIST Roadmap Update (Pre-Alpha Information)

  • Pre-Alpha release: The Pre-Alpha release of MIST will replace the previous closed demo. This release includes many new features, characters, races, and systems. This major release replaces the demo and is intended to provide a better product in a more competitive market.
  • Pre-Alpha Contents:
  • Eight different species can be selected to play.
  • Choose between two different factions, which will have a significant impact on gameplay and storyline.
  • PvE and PvP combat elements can be tested.
  • Testing of the land system will begin.
  • Download the MIST Companion app at the App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Mist Oracle (The Prophet) is integrated into the game.
  • Mist Nodes are deployed in Pre-Alpha.
  • Token acquisition system available.
  • Differences from Closed Demo:
  • In the closed demo, players basically just walked around and chatted with other players.
  • Only one character race (Human) was allowed.
  • There was very limited dummy fighting.
  • A very limited experience system, weapon system, and craft system were to be tested.
